TERMITE & PEST CONTROL
Rodents

Rats and mice are a hazard to any home or business for several reasons. They carry diseases which can be spread by breathing in contaminants from their urine, droppings and saliva or by contamination of food and water. They are also carriers of other pests such as fleas, ticks and mites which can be spread to household pets. Additionally, they can cause significant damage to your property by gnawing on wood and other soft items, or even creating a fire hazard by chewing through electrical wires.

The most common signs of a rodent infestation are droppings, gnaw marks on food products or wood, and nests made from materials like shredded paper and fabrics.

Good preventative measures of a rodent infestation are keeping your property clear of excess bush and clutter, which create prefect undisturbed nesting grounds for rodents You should also remove any possible food or water sources the rodents may be able to access.
The use of bait, placed in strategic areas to ensure it is accessible to rodents, is also essential in getting the infestation under control. If bait is being used and there are any pets on the property, it is very important to use bait boxes as the bait will also be fatal to any pets that ingest it. If your pet does manage to ingest any bait, please contact a veterinarian immediately.
